The Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network (CPBN) Media Lab’s goal is to create 21st century journalists and train instructors to pass that gift forward.
The CPBN Media Lab is a service of the Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network (CPBN), parent company of Connecticut Public Television (CPTV) and Connecticut Public Radio (WNPR)
Since 2007, CPBN Media Lab instructors and mentors have provided real world technical and journalism training for over 600 Connecticut students, from seminars, workshops and Media 101 and Young Entrepreneur courses for high school students and the Future Producers Academy and Media is Magic for middle school students.
Interns will have a hands-on immersive educational experience producing content. Interns will learn and be required to perform all the media creation production tasks, from pre-production planning and production through post-production editing and posting. CPBN Media Lab graduates are employed by A&E, Discovery Networks, WTNH, The Journal Inquirer, Nickelodeon, Patch and CPTV Sports.
